IMPACT Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do, Combatives Concepts in Phoenix AZ

IMPACT KRAV MAGA | Jeet Kune Do | Combatives

Principles and Concepts in IMPACT

Developed for the Israeli Defense Forces for anti-terrorism and security for Special Police (SWAT), this combatives system has no rules.  Krav Maga, meaning "Contact Combat", is not practiced for sport and emphasizes explosive attacks to an assailants vulnerable targets.  Using any available off hand objects as weaponry, Krav Maga teaches to go from defending to attacking as quickly as possible - even pre-emptively.

PFS Jeet Kune Do is the life's work of legendary trainer of NAVY SEAL's, DEA and others, Paul Vunak.  Paul Vunak is the protege of Dan Inosanto, the recognized developer and teacher of Bruce Lee's methods.  Paul Vunak's specialty is the practical application of rapid assault tactics and how to teach an individual to be street lethal in the shortest time possible.

The framework of the new IMPACT Krav Maga and Jeet Kune do system emphasizes a simplified system for dealing with dangerous threats.

1. Identify the primary danger
2. Attack vital points in a manner that thwarts follow up attacks
3. Neutralize the threat in the most efficient manner possible
4. Evacuate to safety as quickly as possible.

This is accomplished through the maxims:
Stay safe - neutralize all threats
Simultaneous attack & defense | Intercept | use superiority & pressure
Take advantage of natural body reactions
Improvisation
Simplicity - reduce exposure time and endeavor to make techniques efficient
No rules - cheat to win

Peace first
Early detection - honor intuition
Intercept early through pre-assault cues & warning signs
Knowledge of how criminals operate
Study other systems to better understand attacks
Reverse engineering real life attacks and breaking them down into teachable drills
"Aliveness" - force adaptation in training to keep it more realistic for problem solving
Entire body and environment as weapon
Train all ranges with equal respect
Test it under pressure for efficacy
Develop indomitable spirit

Strength is a skill
Train as you fight
